Student advisors at University of Colorado Boulder believe living in apartment-style dorms prepares students to leave their dorms after the first year.
” . . . students need to be able to not just get along with their roommates but to maintain a clean environment and to share spaces such as a kitchen or bathroom,” said one advisor.
Many at the university have argued students and their college residences are collectively responsible for learning to enjoy living with others.
