Since pets aren’t able to insist for themselves, you may need to do it for them.
You’re probably not responsible for anyone’s else’s pet, that would not be reasonable.
But it is reasonable for you to advocate on behalf of anyone with whom you share a household, when you’re as aware of their situation and circumstances as anyone else. If you have a legitimate relationship with the pet, even if you’re not the pet’s legal owner, your opinion matters too.
